“Life Compromised” and “Grandma’s Court” are written and directed by Anandrao Lingayat, a noted playwright and author of several books. Mr. Lingayat is known for writing about Indo-American life in a way that is socially relevant as well as entertaining.

These two plays grapple with traditional values and the shock that ensues when such values are confronted.  The plays’ cast of outstanding actors will inspire and challenge, causing audience members to leave the theater with a new sense of beginning and transformation. Following the plays, the gala event will include a dance, an instrumental recital, and a reception. All are invited.

The event is organized to support the newly created Hindu Studies at Claremont Lincoln University. On September 18, 2012, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Dr. Jerry Campbell, President of Claremont Lincoln University, and Dr. Deepak Shimkhada, President of Indic Foundation, to support the establishment of a Hindu studies at Claremont Lincoln University, along with the Nalanda Confluence Institute and other funders. This will be the first of its kind in the United States. Courses on various aspects of the Sanatana Dharma will be offered, including Sanskrit, with plans to eventually offer a certificate, M.A. and Ph.D. in Hindu Studies.

For information and advance purchase of tickets, please call Deepak Shimkhada at909-621-0783.  Indic Foundation is a non-profit organization with a 501 (c)-3 tax exempt status. The ticket prices are fully deductible as charitable donations.
